This is a departure from my pen making gaffes. No workshop is complete unless there is a good dog in there keeping you company during some long hours. 10 years ago my wife and kids told me they wanted a dog, which was fine with me. The "fluffy" one turned out to be a 90lb golden retriever / horse mix we called Tucker. He was my workshop pal and general all-around buddy. He turned out to be "my dog" and hence a 10 year friendship was struck.
We lost Tucker last year to cancer, after a bout with a spleen tumor the year before from which he recovered. He was loyal, smart and somewhat independent. Just like me :) Probably why we got along so well together.
