Beauty. There is nothing quite like the natural beauty of wood. It has been used for millennia by craftsman to create works of art. The Egyptians crafted incredible designs for furniture using exotic woods selected for grain and color. Craftsmen the world over create works of art in furniture, cabinetry, wood turnings, inlays, and now - writing instruments!
Woods of the World. At left is a selection of some of the most beautiful exotic and domestic woods. We have chosen these because of their color and spectacular grain patterns. When finished with a high polish these woods almost seem to speak audibly saying, "wow, look at me!". You can visit our deer antler page to get some ideas of how this unusual material looks when it is crafted into a one-of-a-kind writing instrument.
Keepsakes from your own. We can also craft an extra special instrument for you from your own material. Some examples that have been sent to us include wood from historic trees (the Hamilton Oak, the Joyce Kilmer Oak of the famous poem, "Trees"), wood from a tree planted by a relative and even 300 year old oak flooring from a home being restored. Those pens were given to relatives as a house warming gift by the owners. The only limit to what can be used is your imagination.
