At last - 2 hours later the pen is ready for gift boxing and shipping.  This is a Comfort Pen and uses a Cross-type ballpoint refill.

Some of the exterior surface of the antler is still visible.  This adds a touch of realism to the pen, immediately identifying it as something totally unique.
